The following are the words of the Dishonourable Rona Ambrose, Member of Parliament for Edmonton-Spruce Grove and Minister of Public Works and Government Services, spoken in the Parliament of Canada on the subject of the recent Auditor-General’s report indicating that the government lied to Parliament and the nation about the true cost of the F-35 jet fighter:
our government believes very strongly that the Auditor General’s recommendations and conclusions were accurate, and we agree with them.
On the other hand, the following is also a statement from the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, submitted in writing (one assumes) and reported by the Auditor-General:
Liar. Please leave Parliament now.
And take the Speaker with you, if he turns out to be the disgustingly incompetent, cowardly, negligent cretin that I suspect he will show himself to be very shortly by allowing a documented liar to remain unsanctioned by the House. Which I believe based on the strength of statements like this:
It is not up to the chair to determine the accuracy of statements.
You’re right. The real purpose of the chair of a majority Parliament is to sit in a fancy chair, look pompously important despite your tender years, and attempt to contain the damage done by the corrupt, lying government which may be found seated immediately to your right.Tweet
